Worst team in Texas

this week anyway. Here's my take on the D-I football teams in Texas. Sorry pony fans

1. Texas
2. Texas Tech
3. TCU
4. A&M
5. UNT(tie)
5. Houston(tie)
7. Baylor
8. Rice
9. UTEP
10. SMU

You forgot the district 11-5A teams. Lufkin, Longview, and Tyler Lee. All top 5 state ranked, but won't be for long because they start playing
home and home like b-ball in their 4 team district.

TTU should be ranked above Texas. They beat Texas last year and haven't seem to have lost a step. Texas needs to directly earn the right to be ranked above TT, but they won't beat them this year, either. I think TTU as a great chance of ending Oklahoma's unbeaten record.

I'm curious about your decision to place Rice ahead of UTEP and SMU. Rice hasn't won a game, and while UTEP looked terrible (as they beat my beloved Ponies), shouldn't Rice be behind the Miners? The argument could be made that Rice may or may not be better than SMU. But putting Rice in the position you did seems awfully generous.
