I am sure that everyone has heard/read/saw the Mike Vick inked a 2 year deal with the Philly Eagles. As a huge Falcons fan, #7 will always have a special place in my heart, and I wish him the best of luck in Philly. As horrific as his previous actions were, I hope that he can get past it to make a positive impact in the animal, Philly, and NFL community.

Having once lived in Philly I recall one of the best lines a sports writer wrote:
"In Philly they'll boo a funeral" Vick better be good.

He paid his debt to SOCIETY... IMO, professional athletes should be held to a HIGHER standard than the law. He, at this point, owes the League and Players' Associations more than he will ever repay. And the same goes for all the other thugs that come back after going to jail

he's still in bankruptcy...pretty sure his wages are gonna be garnished till he makes some really big money...listening to Mort' this morning, he made it sound like the 2nd year is basically a roster bonus so if they dont decide to keep him he basically isnt gonna get paid in the 2nd year.

I don't particularly care about the dog part, just the doing illegal stuff (which happened to be killing dogs) part. It should be viewed as a privilege to be a part of an elite league of athletes such as the NFL, and he's obviously demonstrated he didn't think much of it 2 years ago. Maybe I'm being presumptuous thinking he's still the old Vick. You can call me wrong when he retires without getting in trouble for something equally stupid.

I suspect there will be a lot of dog barking noises from opposing fans of the Eagles this year. The one fortunate thing for him is that if he has to play against the Redskins, he has a lot of good will because he went to Va. Tech. And Cowboys fans are so docile that he'll have no problem there. But Giants fans....
