BTW, my people told me a couple of SMU alum tried to buy all Texas assets from BB&T but they wouldn't sell...

Fitting.

The Gene Chizik ("I won two games at Iowa State") thing really bugged me.

Its obvious Lowder was the one who had reservations about hiring Turner G.

Hope Auburn gets what they deserve. I predict they are near the bottom of the SEC this year.

Gerald Ford was bidding for Guaranty, but the FDIC wanted a bank to buy the assets, not a PE firm.
