Heritage Hall Announcement

Postby 50's PONY » Mon Aug 24, 2009 8:49 am

We have been successful in transferring the Kern Tips radio broadcast of the 1948 Cotton Bowl game between SMU and Penn State to the color film of the game. It is truly one of a kind. I will continue to offer the DVD for the price of $20.00 plus $2.00 postage if you order through gerry@athletic history.com.
Also, we recently acquired another full length radio broadcast done by Ves Box of Humble Oil. It is the SMU vs. Miami game to start the 1965 season. We have now also been successful in transferring it to the black and white copy film of the game. Ves was a well known radio personality with KRLD for many years and also had one of those voices you can't forget. So, all of you fans of Mac White, Jim Hagle, etc here is your chance to see and listen to them in action. I will also offer this game for $25.00.
If you did not order a DVD of the Hall of Fame induction dinner you have really missed something. Eric Dickerson's acceptance remarks are worth the price. We are still offering these for $20.00 each.
We have now identified most of the Mike Cavan Shows, the Tom Rossley Shows , and the Forrest Gregg Shows and are ready to take orders for them. As you recall, all of the shows have highlights from the game of the preceding week.
By the end of this week we will have added over 400 new pictures to the website including a large number of football and basketball team pictures.
In the next couple of weeks we will complete the inventory of all of the game and highlight footage that we have for football and basketball. It has taken me three years but we are almost there.
You can help by telling all of your friends to check things out at http://www.athletichistory.com. As always, you can email me at [email protected] with any question.
I know that we are all interested in our current teams but our past is important and we will soon have a way on the website to make a gift to Heritage Hall. We still have plans to complete Heritage Hall and make it the best college athletic museum in the country and we will need your help.
Go Mustangs!
