For fans in the area or those aching to see the new Cowboys Stadium, no matter the distance, don't forget about Thursday night's Cowboys-Miller Lite “Silver & Blue Debut” – a free, open-to-the-public practice for fans of all ages two days before the team’s preseason home game against San Francisco.

Practice starts at 6 p.m. (CT). Doors open at 5 p.m.

The Miller Lite/Dallas Cowboys Sweepstakes also will give legal-drinking-age Cowboys fans the opportunity to enter for the chance to win game tickets and unique memorabilia, as well as several fan-friendly experiences:

*A VIP Opening Day package for the home opener, which includes sideline passes.

*A flag football game at Cowboys Stadium for the winner and 19 of his or her closest friends, hosted by a former Cowboys player.

*Player-for-a-day and broadcaster-for-a-day prizes, which include sideline passes and an assortment of memorabilia.*A Cowboys golf package, in which the winner and two friends gets to play a round with a former Cowboys player.

*An ultimate home viewing party for an away Cowboys game.

I'm thinking of going simply because it will be the last (maybe only) free event there for a long time. A friend told me that parking will be $10 so Jerry is still getting some $ out of this.

Remember that the Arkansas-A&M game is the same day we play at TCU. Traffic could be a nightmare getting to Cowtown.
