Probably at the hotel where they hosted the kickoff luncheon. Since they're in uniform, it was a gig...

I think the final number this year is 86, which is a half dozen or so more than last. I heard them Monday, they sound pretty good. Since the SFA Band is coming, they are going to look REALLY REALLY good next Saturday

(At least, I think the SFA Band is coming? I hope they bring their own PA for the banjo and fiddle)

The SFA band is coming. That is great. It will really add to the college game experience. And I understand that the SFA band has the best mouth harp section in the country. Is it true that the SFA band has upgraded their uniforms from Depression era overalls to more modern painter's overalls?

As a Mustang Band Alum and after seeing the SFA band last year, I tell you one thing. The Mustang Band better be ready. The SFA band is actually very very good.

What impressed me was they marched military 6 to 5 (Aggie Band Style), then marched 8 to 5 (Mustang Band Style), they played marches (Sousa, Aggie Band), Jazz and Swing (Mustang Band), and even Classical Concert Band (Most High Schools), and did it all in one show.

Oh and one other thing. THEY BLOW!

Mustang Band fellers and fellerettes better bring their game.

86 is a pretty high number. I am thinking that has gotta be one of the higher numbers since the DP, with the known exceptions being '89 or '90.

That may be true, but what about the Twirl-O-Jacks? Are they gonna make the trip to Ford? If so, our Doll better be ready, too. The Twirl-O-Jacks will be bustin' out the sequins - I'm tellin' ya.

First time poster, and old band alum. Don't know what's goin on with the MB these days, but I hope it's no more civilized than when I was there. I have lurked for some time, but, following a recent head injury, I have decided to make my presence known and will perhaps comment from time to time on the goings on at the Hilltop.
