You'll be seeing me a lot with a camera this year. I figured I'd give the PonyFans nation a little taste of what I am doing this year. I was very careful in this footage to not show too much of the "bought and paid for" stuff from the luncheon.... enjoy!

http://www.doublelifefilms.com/PonyUp-Luncheon.mov

(I didn't bother embedding it or doing anything special, if it doesn't play in your browser, just left click and "save file"... ohh, and an HD version should be up soon! Otherwise, I'll put up an HD trailer. Regardless something in glorious HD will be available soon.)

I know that news traveled fast and that plenty of people knew about this very quickly. I thank all of you on this board who knew or found out for not posting about it too soon - before we could get the access and approvals we needed.

This is just a taste. I won't be showing everything, in fact, most of the stuff I shoot won't be available here or anywhere until we premier in March. But, I owe you guys something, right?

Anyway, my friends, I will be calling on you. I know that ponyfans will be a fantastic resource for this project.

Thanks. For those of us that are geographically challenged and can't attend those events, this is a real treat.

I got a fever, and the only prescription is more Pony wins!

This is going to be a great documentary film. Not just for those of us involved in the program. I believe it will sell! I like the edit action.
The vard is going to provide classic tailgating footage.

Bus is a natural!
It must have a happy ending…

Thad, make sure you keep your original vision. Tell the whole story, warts and all.

If done well, and there's no reason to believe it won't be, this film could be a monumental boost for SMU, the athletic department and our football team. Some want to basically deny what took place in the past, but to a generation of football fans and certainly to this generation of recruits, the idea of SMU's success is alive only in the history books. If this film shows the past for what it was, and then chronicles what SMU went through to re-build the program in 1989 and where it could head under June Jones, this could end up being an enormous boost in public awareness and in recruiting.

Looking forward to seeing it.

Sorry to post this and then go to complete radio silence. Unintentional, just extremely busy.

Anyway, I want to thank you folks for your kind and encouraging words. One Trick and Dark Horse, you guys seem to get what I am shooting for!

More soon!
