FRI UPDATE....OUTSTANDING WORK ON THE PRACTICE FIELD TODAY...OFFENSIVELY AS WE REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF OFFENSE THE EFFICIENCY OF OUR PASSING GAME HAS RISEN...GOOD HUSTLE AND HITTING IN TEAM WORK...FRESHMAN LB J'GARED DAVIS HAD THE HIT OF THE DAY FO...RCING A FUMBLE...WE HAVE YOUNG LBERS WHO ALL CAN RUN AND WILL STRIKE YOU...RAISE YOUR EXPECTATION LEVEL IS OUR MANTRA...WE CAN'T BE HELD BACK BY SELF IMPOSED LIMITATIONS.....

UPDATE...SOME FINE PLAYS MADE TODAY BY 2ND YEAR SAFETY CHRIS BANJO...WE ARE ARE LEARNING HOW TO PRACTICE....DISCIPLINED HABITS COME BACK TO YOU ON GAME DAY....BRIAN COLLINS DOMINATED PASS RUSH DRILL PERIOD...OUR SECONDARY MAY BE THE MOST IMPR...OVED AREA OF THE TEAM IN CAMP...ENCOURAGING SIGNS ALL AROUND THE FOOTBALLL TEAM....BELIEF IN EACH OTHER AND TRUST ARE BUILT ON THE PRACTICE FIELD ONE REP AT A TIME.....


WEDNESDAY UPDATE...FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL CAN BE DAY OF DISTRACTIONS FOR MOST TEAMS...OUR 7:00 AM PRACTICES ELIMINATE MOST OF THAT...OUR OFFENSE AND DEFENSE ARE NOW DETAILING THE STRUCTURE WE WILL PLAY IN OUR OPENER...TOUGH DAY FOR SOME KIDS AS REPS ARE... CUT AND THE FOCUS OF THE PRACTICE GOES TO THOSE WHO WILL PLAY...TEAM FIRST MUST BE MORE THAN A SLOGAN...EVERYONE HAS A ROLE TO PLAY IF WE ARE TO PLAY IN DECEMBER...ALOHA

Gloom and doomers are ultimately losers. Yes, realistic expectations are important. But if you don't BELIEVE you're going to win, you won't.

I was thinking that until I heard about the situation with his wife. It kind of sounds like when Jones hangs it up, JR will try to be closer to her.

I learned by reading ponyfans.com, the best place to get Mustang news, that his wife had a job in Hawaii when he came here and then found one on the west coast (I believe Stanford is correct). But they are still half a country apart. They may like that, but I would bet not. Her position is one of high authority and was too good to pass up and too good to give up. It just makes sense that if and when Jones hangs it up, JR would look to relocate in the northwest if his wife were still in her positon. This is all speculation on my part as to what the future may be for them.

It is not just a job. She is a high up caliber lady. I do not remember all the ins and outs but she is powerful in her field, and at a location that is one of the top in the nation.

I am sure if we offered JR a million per year or more he would at least have to think about.
