Sorry but the captains need to be leaders on and off the field - guys like Mitch Enright, Kelvin Beachum, Pat Fleming (I'm sure there are more). ES may have learned a thing or two from his suspension last year, but his actions leading up to it definitely do not match the criteria. It would be a slap in the face to the true team leaders if ES was named one of the captains.

Hard to believe the Jerry Levias honoree would not be a captain. Is it reserved for seniors? The basis for the honor would seem to ooze reason for being captain.

Chris Banjo. He's certainly a candidate. I knew there was someone I was forgetting.

Sanders has had a tremendous turnabout, since JJ suspended him last fall. He has turned into a great leader, on and off the field.

Guys Im sure who ever the coaches feel are leaders on this team will be named captains. It is not up to us to speculate, because we are on the outside looking in. Now if some of you guys know inside information that we dont know about please feel free to offer your opinions, but if you do offer your opinions just inform us how or why you chose to say the players name.

Because majority of us no nothing of these players off the field to say their leaders. On field success does no make a person a leader.

I mean Vick is a great player, but I would not want him to lead my team.

Do the coaches pick the captains or does the team vote on it?

Agreed — this is the way to go.

With that said, I'd say the captains against SFA should be:

Kelvin Beachum
Chris Parham
Chris Banjo
Mitch Enright
