Based on Sagarin's preseason ratings (I know, I know) which are based on. I believe, some average of that last 2-3 seasons, SMU needs to improve by two TDs, say one offensive and one defensive. Otherwise we are looking at 2-10 or maybe 3-9 if Rice is a TD worse than predicted.

With a 2 TD improvement, we may see 9-3 of which 2 are really toss-ups so maybe 7-5, and one is less that a field goal advantage, or a downside of 6-6.

If we are looking for 6-6 or better it means we need to improve by 2 tDs. Can we do it?

If BLM goes to 30TDs and 18Ints we are most of the way there. Just need a little help from the D and with fewer ints they should be in a better position to do it.

:D

if our defense will get 2 more turnovers a game we'll go 7-5
