well tough - go to the game if you want to know what happened. - or just wait for the paper. This is not a sports page - its a blog.

Read "Post Game Notes" by ponypride. Unfortunately, after you read the notes (all true) you would think we won by 50 points.

wading through all of the BS...dude, some of us actually had to sit through this game. Consider your time thankfully saved by the BS artists.

2. BLM looked terrible in the first half
3. WR's looked terrible in the first half
4. Defense showed up, and could be one of the best in the southland conference
5. SFA's db's were bailing out early on every play, do we have a 12 yard curl in the play book?
6. BLM looked like last year

8. If we play like this against any team in CUSA, we will go 1-11
9. TCU is going to kill us
10. HUGE holes on kick off coverage, SFA should've done more

12. Sterling Moore is greatly undersized, and was burnt deep on numerous occassions. However, he showed a lot of heart! When he was burnt deep he made up for it with either stripping the ball or making a big tackle. I really like the way he played, but I think he will be exploited when we play against better talent. But as I said, this kid plays with a lot of heart, I would let him play on my team any day.

14. Not sure why ES was laughing and dancing after the game. Sure a win is a win, but I would be in the lockerrom throwing up after this game
15. BLM looked terrible and so did the WR.
16. I am extremely happy that mcneal is playing. having a RB who can string together 10 yard gains is a vast improvement on the last 7 years

We should have lost by 20. If it weren't for mcneal, we would have lost by 20. We played extremely poorly, capitalized on some bad mistakes by S F'in A, and were within 50 yards of overtime at the end.

Agree on BLM - he was horrible. Except I would say he was worse in this game than at any point last season. Absolutely terrible game for him.

I wouldn't bag on the defense. I thought it was much improved. Last year, Sam Houston moved the ball non-stop. This year, we played very generic and played very well, they were just on the field the whole game, and still really held the other team to 9. We spent significant portions of the second half with the 3rd, 4th, and 5th corner (robinson) on the field.

Agree 100%. This is a game we would have lost last year, becuase BLM would have needed to keep throwing to keep us in it. McNeal is going to save us a couple of games this year.

we were playing SFA! defense did look good, but look at the competition... i hope they play that well against tulsa, houston, tcu, etc. or we are in TROUBLE
