I'd like to think we have several games on the schedule where we should at least compete and have a shot at winning

home games against Tulane, Rice, UTEP

road games against UAB, WSU, Marshall

we find out this coming Saturday...maybe UAB doesn't belong on that list?

no doubt, that depressed sunday morning feeling has eluded us for at least a week. I have come to associate Labor Day weekend with a hopeless feeling. Now if we could just recruit in D-1 and play a Southland schedule, we might have something.

we really need to break our streak and win a game against D-1 competition this year (OK, against an FBS opponent for all of you purists out there)

I could see us possibly beating Rice. After last night I would say the others are pretty doubtful.
