Moved all the Greeks to the North side by Dallas Hall. I'm not a fan - I feel like it segregates the fan base, rather than integrating it. I also saw a girl taken away in handcuffs for having a single beer without wearing a wristband. Underage drinking is silly but...handcuffs? Really?
Thoughts?

Makes it a lot easier for them to walk back to their houses instead of go to the game as well. I'm sure our administrative geniuses thought they could sell the Greek spots to other people since it's all about $ with them. Put them as far away from the stadium as possible. Brilliant! And we all wonder why the students never show up...I don't side with the Greeks on many issues but I wouldn't mind if they raised hell over this one. They deserve to be on the Blvd like everyone else.

Did anyone else notice the taxi cabs that were taking people home from the game? I counted at least 15 cabs after leaving Ford Stadium. Were these Greeks/students/alumni who were getting rides home instead of taking a chance on getting charged with P.I.?
Our route home took us down Airline past fraternity and sorority rows, Hillcrest Ave. and west of Hillcrest down McFarlin to Golf Drive. The taxis were all over the place!
Just wondering...

When will somebody crack down on the TABC?
Arresting college students tailgating at football games and arresting hotel guests in their hotel bar is a colossal wastes of our tax money.

I think we should outlaw alcohol. Didn't that work in the 20's?
During a polical climate where we ignore history, I think this solution should be considered.

Stadium nazi's were present too, the gate nazi's confiscated a peewee football from my 12 year old and right after half time, about a dozen people (all middle aged, no students) were trying to get back into stadium after walking outside stadium during half time, only to be told "no re-entry", after some bickering with the gate nazi, the dozen or so people turned around and walked away...I guess the nazi's were used to our 10,000 attendance and were not ready for the 25,000+ and were told to be more restrictive

Saw Presesident Turner just north of the flagpole. My wife asked him about the location of the fraternity tents, he said, that they don't really care were there are, and we had lots of people willing to pay for space on the blvd. I really don't like it. I wish they were on the south end, nearer to the stadium, it adds to the fun...and nothing beats a good looking coed in a white sundress!
Seriously, I think it is a bad idea. Let the alumns and visitors go to the North and keep the students near the stadium, leading the party, and then they have to go by the stadium to go back to their houses.

Sounds to me like they were (are) scared that someone would pass a ticket stub though the fence to a freeloader outside.
Pretty silly really.

I wish they would send some of them over to 104 to do some productive work, as in checking ticket stubs so that I don’t have to ask people to please get out of my seats when I go away for a moment..
