Suggestion about "The Truth"

I was sitting in section 103 last night and was impressed with the play of the defense but I noticed something that should be considered.
Darius Johnson (aka The Truth) played well last night and made a beautiful catch for a TD. Every time Johnson made a catch last night I started to chant "Truuuuuth!" Everyone in my section kept looking at me like I was either drunk, stoned or stupid until I explained and let the word spread about Johnson's nickname. I would like to suggest that all of us who know abouth the truth start to spread this nickname and also start to chant it for him.
I honestly believe if it spreads well enough we could start some of the positive cheering and home field advantage noise out there at Ford stadium.
What are your thoughts on this idea?
Thanks.

Remind me when he is back on the field.

Let him prove himself at this Level first before turning the SMU media machine on and announcing him as a candidate for the Heisman Trophy. I'm his biggest fan but this annoiting JWill or Mitchell for greatness before they have earned it makes my stomach turn a little.

agree about the hype machine. but JWill at least has a full year and a great season under his belt. what i really didnt like was the unnecessary pressure the marketing campaign put on him as a soph.

I am with Stallion on this. It is hard enough on a freshman as it is without adding more undue pressure. The same with Bo. We are so hungry for heroes that we are annointing some before they are ready. DJ is going to be a great player for us. Bo doesn't have to win games on his own for us, he just has to be the proverbial "bus driver" in a passing offense. If every coach and player does his job to the best of his ability, we will be fine.

I think they are just cheering for the young man, not putting any pressure on him. Nothing wrong with that. I think some are misinterpreting 96's comment.
