The reason why we have so many upset on Week 1 games of the year is because the team spends all spring and summer playing each other, and then the teams might get to hyped or not hyped enough we actually get to fill in the blanks and then adjust. I liked most of what I saw last Saturday and would love to see more and bring along the offense to its true potenial. I will take a UGLY win all year but at least 7 of them. LOL

An ugly win has nothing to do with the quality of the team you play but how the game is played by the two teams. USC could get an ugly win over Ohio St if both teams sink it up and USC barely wins. No bubble to be busted. Good post Mr. Bell.

Part of any fan base's problem with wins is that they have to have style points to go with them and if they don't get them, then it's gone to hell in a handbasket. That falls on me and everybody else who posts on this board whether they admit it or not.
That said, I'm glad we won. Or relieved might be a better word.

by that logic shoudn't SFA have been way off on Saturday too since they had only been playing each other? BYU was a top 25 team. SFA was a bottom tier FCS team last year.

And UVA as well. They actually lost to a FCS team. We are learning to win even when we play badly.
