Kind of an interesting read, I suppose. One person wrote that "the SMU game is the most important game we've played since 2004."
Some other talk about our players having "H1N1."

Oh, and we'd better get them while we can, because when June Jones gets everything in place with SMU money and Texas athletes, it could be scary

I like that quote from the UAB site as well.

from the board
"Most important stat from the SMU - SFA game: SMU's defense gave up 460 yds of offense to Stephen F. Austin! Stephen Frickin' Austin, man."
"SMU is 0-23 in their last 26 games against teams other than North Texas, Texas State, and Stephen F. Austin.
On the other hand, they come into this game on a 15-game road losing streak. The last game they came here, they were on a 14-game road losing streak. I think we all remember how that one ended

I want to say Tulane in 2006 was the last one. The UAB game was in 2005, and I know the Stangs won @ Tulane in 06. Just not sure if there was a W after that. I doubt it though.

At least the UAB fans appear to be a literate bunch. Good spelling, good punctuation. Not used to seeing that alot, especially when we play SFA, TX State, Cougar High, etc..

They too have suffered for years. UAB has an explosive offense and I think it will be a very exciting game if and I say if, we hit on all cylinders and BLM bounces back with a good game, if McNeal repeats his performance, and if the wideouts remember to bring their hands. A few TO's would be nice as well.

From their board.
"Bo Levi Garrett Sum-bitch is going to have to throw the ball better for SMU. Their RB looked pretty sharp against the Lumberjacks. If our defensive front can stop the run, I feel pretty good about our DBs, despite the fact that BLGS will throw 69 passes."

"Bo Levi Garrett Sum-@#&%", "BLGS" . Somehow I think Bo would even get a chuckle out of that.

The UAB fans are pretty confident that it will be a blow out Saturday. I don't know that much about UAB except they have not been a top tier CUSA team. Seems we beat them the last couple of times we played them.
Of course we have not exactly been a team anyone fears playing so perhaps their confidence is appropriate. That said, we execute better on offense and play solid well disciplined defense, we have a very good chance of winning this game.
And I do appreciate the Burford T. Justice type Alabama humor...BLGS!
