UAB might be one of the harder opponents for the SMU Mustangs to prepare for. The teams haven't seen each other since 2006, and SMU has won the only two meetings between the schools.

But the teams haven't met in a couple of years, and since they last faced each other, the Blazers have added one of the most potent weapons in the league: quarterback Joe Webb, who put up more than 400 yards of total offense in last week's season-opening UAB win over Rice.

So what do the Ponies need to do to keep the dangerous Webb in check? What challenges will the UAB defense present to June Jones' offense?

Ok, he had a good game but it was against the usually porous defense of Rice so his game is a little difficult to judge.

UAB (specifically Webb) presents a major challenge for us today, but I have to believe our offense will kick things up a notch. I don't know if we'll beat them, but I certainly think we can.
