like he played the first half tonight. We will go bowling.

IF BLM does not, we will not.

JJ and BLM can put points on the board.

Our D has improved. Congrats to the O-line.

Pretty basic, I know but football is pretty basic.

Glad to have the W but still a lot af room for improvement.

Let's go 3 and 0.
Go Mustangs.
Good Night.

Here I is at 1AM BUS, I couldnt make it down to the game as planned..family stuff interfered. BUt I am just as thrilled as if I had been there! TWO big things I think came out of this game: (1) We are capable of amazing play as witnessed in the first half, and (2) THEY DIDN'T QUIT!!!

GO PONIES!

No question BLM looked special in the 2nd quarter if you take away the pick in their end zone. When he starts putting together a game like that, we will be tough for alot of teams to beat. Very Proud of our defensive play for most of the game and our offense also on their last drive for the WIN ! SMU IS 2-0 !

I agree with BUS's points. If he can just eliminate the really bad INT's (pick 6 today), this offense has a chance to get rolling. I would like to see the occasional shoulder fake or ball fake, especially on the deep balls. He might freeze the DB's for a split second and complete more of them. Glad he made a lot more plays today. His receivers made plays for him, and I expect that they will continue to get better next week. It's exciting to think that they aren't totally clicking yet and we are still averaging over 30 points per game.

both QBs had the same problem; when pressured, they made poor decisions , rushed their throws and were picked off. When he had time to survey the field, Bo Levi looked sharp. Funny how that works. Give our OL and front 7 credit in this one. They played well.

from what i heard, the pick 6 was not Bo's fault...I think the ball went right through the receivers hands..

one INT was after a tipped ball but the other was poorly thrown after being pressured

As some constructive criticism however, not making that bad decision in the end zone, and a receiver making a catch rather than letting the ball bounce off of his hands, was at minimum a 10 point swing. As delighted as I am with the win, these are the type of things we need to stop in order to have a winning season. Without those two events, the game would not have been in question with 13 seconds left.

On the other hand, this might be the type of close win that makes the kids relaize they can win. Last year they lost these games.

It is nice to win but the plans need to improve.. like getting a complete game out of QB.
I liked the Braden sub in. You never know when we might need him.
Maybe next game let him throw a bit ... keep the D off balance.

i like the braden sub in if he held onto the ball. braden's arm isnt quite there, probably why he didnt pass the ball.

I actually think he was going to pass on the play that he fumbled. Just did not find an open man and tucked it and ran. I could be wrong, but it did not appear to be a draw. Had it been, I think he would have tucked the ball a little more securely.

We need to improve 3rd down conversions. Had we converted a 3rd down early in the 1st quarter after the D got us a turnover in UAB territory, we at least have a chance at a field goal. 3 points added to the first half total would have been huge.

The whole game (and SFA) was a 3rd down problem. Perhaps we need to get a yard or two more per run. Maybe better short pass plays run. That is up to the coaches but we need to improve 3rd down conversions.

Kinda reminds me of the good old days with Willis. Run and fumble. Run and fumble.
