I followed the game on the Internet and I am still on a high.
It must have been sweet to be at Legion Field for the victory.

Does it sound too forced to start up a round of "cross-conference whipping boys!" ?

Since we only beat them by 2.....that's not really "whipping" anybody.

ECU, Marshall, Memphis, USM, UCF can all claim that against us. Before we get a bit full of ourselves, lets remember that it is a long season yet to go and we have significant challenges yet to overcome.

It is a great start and the team has shown great improvements and an ability to win (both games have been close. OVer the last two years we have lost the close ones). However, we have a big road game net week and then the real schedule challenge begins.

This great start and vast improvement over the last two years gives one a sense of expectations. And I expect that we on this board will be over optimistic this week. I hope the team isn't.

That's exactly my point. I'm tired of other teams being able to say that. It's nice to be able to say it for once.

For the record, it also was said somewhat tongue-in-cheek.

We are 1-1 against Marshall. Others, not so much.
