WAZZU's stadium

Here's their stadium, but I've heard it looks much worse than this in person — very antiquated, etc. Talked to a friend who has been to WSU and said their stadium pales in comparison to GJFord.

Evidently they are in the middle of 3 phase renovation. They couldn't start phase 3 because the economy tanked...Looks like phase 3 was going to add luxury suites...

wonder if they will bring that kind of crowd for what might be their best chance to win a game this year?

here's another look. Built into the side of a hill, from the looks of things:

They had 40k at the Hawaii game I believe . . . would expect similar numbers Saturday.

edit: they played that game at Seattle's home field, look like their home stadium only holds 35k or so.

good point. Wonder what SMU would draw vs Hawaii on the opposite side of the state. I bet
not 42k.

like most have said, with this being their best chance at a win, I would bet it is a packed house. and do I remember correctly that in their hay-day this was a tough place to play?

either way, I think SMU is capable of winning this game just as we are capable of throwing it away. Being favored, I hope, does not play with our minds! we should think underdog and be pissed every game we play!

First thing that came to my mind when I saw a picture of the WSU stadium... Ownby Stadium

This is WSU's third "home" game. They averaged 77% capacity in their stadium. However, they hosted, Washington, Cal, Oregon and USC last year at that stadium.

They had 22,386 for Stanford, their first game of the year

Last season, they had 23,920 when they played Portland State.

Folks, there are going to be 22,500 there at best.

Does anyone seriously think they will have more people in the stands for this game than they had for the home opener against Stanford?

I expect 250 of those to be screaming Pony fans. A little patch of red.

Hopefully our fans wear blue since red is one of their colors and blue is not!

Or we could have a small white out.
