The media is just waiting for us to do well and make a bowl game. When we do, they'll get to dust off all their old death penalty stories again, PLUS a bunch of "back from the dead" stories of poor ol' SMU finally recovering from the DP. PLUS they get to write some "June Jones does it again!" stories. Us in a bowl is a human-interest story gold mine.

gotta love some national pub . . . just can't let this game get overlooked - WSU has nothing to lose and they know it . . .they will come out loose and ready to play and we have to jump all over them early!! Go Stangs!

Nice to get a little pub, but you can bet this guy hasnt seen one of our games. The defense is not amazing, as he says. The 11 turnovers are however amazing but he picked that out of the stat column.

The D has been doing a very nice job and are much improved over last year but I wouldnt call them an amazing defense. I would like to see them keep racking over the turnovers because they have been huge in us winning games this year.

We are 101 in YPG allowed so far this year. WE are improved because last year we ended at 115 was it?

Sounds like Ivan has seen one of our games. I agree with him that the D has been amazing. After having watched them last year, I am totally amazed at what they have accomplished so far this year. That includes the turnover margin and making plays to win games. If the D had been playing the first two games like they played last year we would be 0-2 with a loss to a D1-AA school. That would be hard to recover from.

Ivan used to write for a local paper here in Dallas. My guess is that he has seen many S.M.U. games and that he would love to see us do well in the future.

I agree with everything you said about the defense, except the fact that they are amazing. They are amazingly better than they were last year, which was god awful.

Dont get me wrong, the defense is playing well, by our and last years standard. They're just not amazing.

considering much of those yards are the result of offensive ineptitude in both ganes, i think ypg is skewed
