Toledo throws team out of practice. Tulane hasn't played a competive game in about 10 games losing by an average of 30 and hasn't recovered in recruiting. The depths of the Huricane affecting this team years later.

Tulane's players may get their act together. And we may be playing them with a bowl game on the line. And Tulane, regardless of anything else they do during a season, has owned us.

They sucked before Katrina, too. They haven't been any good since Tommy Bowden left.

No its not true-the Tulane program was headed upward when Katrina hit. Their recruiting was strong in Texas especially DFW. Hadn't showed much on the field yet but they had a number of kids that went to the NFL. Strong Defensive team, with a great DLM and RB. They were expected to go bowling the year Katrina hit.

Not to mention they came into our house all displaced by the storm and kicked the [deleted] out of us.

Toledo has a good 09 class to work with. I guess he figures it's better to burn it down than to let the lingering stink of failure hang around.

I remember that game. Bennett rolled out the red carpet treatment for Tulane and then got his butt kicked. Disappointing loss for sure.

Yeah, we gave them scouting reports and everything. I don't mind helping someone out, but seriously.

Too bad we aren't playing them next week like we were originally supposed to. They looked really bad against Tulsa and never had a chance against BYU. We would catch them at a vulnerable time. Who knows if they will get their act together by the end of the season. There's a great chance that they will have nothing to play for but we all know CUSA is a crazy league. It would be another winnable game before the brutal middle part of the schedule kicks in for us.

Really that's the ONLY really winnable game on our schedule....that one should be the lay down.....the others will be as JJ says..'dog fights'..they may have owned us but we have faster kids now and their running game was good in years past..
