Yes, you read that right. I was upset at the performance against SFA, but we got a win and I can overlook the performance. The win at UAB was a squeaker and the defense saved our buts. This game? Up 17-0 and lose? I could care less who has the bigger arm, who can make all the passes. I care about who doesnt throw interceptions. Sorry June, but you need to reconsider. 4 INTS is (are) unacceptable. He needs to learn a lesson and obviously season 1 didnt teach him anything.
Please give Braden Smith a shot...if he is worse, then I will bow down to June Jones.

Not happening.
DMN quotes Coach Jones as saying BLM will remain the QB, that he "did some things well ... have to eliminate mistakes" (or something like that).
I agree with Coach's decision.

The problem is there is nobody beyond BLM.
That was a huge mistake on JJ's part and IMO he deserves any and all criticism for it.
Why SMU has not learned to value experience is beyond me.

Is that JJ's crutch phrase....like Cavan and Bennett always saying "we just have to get better" after a defeat?

Bennett's favorite is that "they played like dogs...but they are my dogs and I still love them"

"I know these guys know what they're doing, and I can put the ball up and they're going to go get it," Mitchell said. (quote from The Dallas Morning News)
I think it's time for BLM to reconsider.

"It's going to happen." Mitchell said of the turnovers. from DMN
"You ride the bench for 2 possessions for each INT in the future so you can
THINK about
it

" coach PlanoStang.

Those INT's were not all the wr's fault as you can see on the video. BLM did apologize for the INT's.
Quote from DMN:
"Sanders said Mitchell apologized to his teammates for the interceptions. "

Let’s play two QB's. BLM in the first half and somebody else the second half.

Its a sad situation really. I feel sorry for BLM but its clear he is struggling mightily.
No indication to think otherwise.
If JJ is stubborn enough to stick with him and we end up with only four wins then... business as usual on the hilltop? damn I miss Collins/Brower etc....
The point has been been made that there is no one waiting in the wings.
Doubtful. This kind of rubbish is frequent amongst JJ apologists. There is always someone
waiting in the wings when the only way to go is UP.

putting another qb in will be a huge step back for the team right now. i feel bad that he has no support and yes he made 4 bad reads/throws but did yal forget he threw for over 420 yrds.... and completed i think like 70% of his passes those are great numbers and the turnovers will stop he's still young and learning every game. however dont be suprised against TCU if he doesnt look improved thier secondary is prob top 5 in the country

I don't think passing yardage means all that much in this offense. Any qb with a pulse is going to rack up alot of yards in this offense. Probably justifies a pick or two a game also. The problem is we are not putting up points in the second half, and the multiple pick sixes. For the past two weeks we have been outscored by the other teams defense in the second half which is crazy.
