91/149 61.1% 979 YDS 6-TD'S 8-INT'S 118.8 Rating
What is an acceptable ratio TD's/INT's?
I think somebody posted yesterday 2/1.
If he could control the error's he could be a hero, but the pattern demonstrated so far says that is not going to happen. I would rather get blown out than play hard and give it away at the end.
Very frustrating!

We could probably survive the INTs except when they are continually returned for TDs. At least give our D a shot to stop the opposing team! BLM gave WSU a gift of 14 points and hope for a win.

I always like to see a 2: 1 TD:INT ratio and agree that BLM's 6:8 is killing us
Keenum at Houston is currently 7:1
Kinne at Tulsa is 5:2
Joe Webb is 5:5
The kid at TTech is 3:1 (12:4)
Anyone who can deliver a 2:1 over the course of a season will have his team in the running for a bowl game
Now, once ball starts we can have this discussion about our PG (another longstanding sore subject)

The logic of playing like crap and losing by a 100 vs. playing well and blowing it in the end doesn't make much sense to me. If we would've gotten blown out, people would be on here saying the program isn't going anywhere, and a whole other negative line of thinking would've started.
Give me a team that is there at the end with a chance to win every week instead of one getting blown out constantly. I wouldn't care if we lost all of those close games, at least we'd be competitive and be putting ourselves in position to succeed. You learn a lot more from close losses than blowouts IMO.

Losing by 100 or having a QB blow a 100 point lead hurts the same. Both result in failure.
Some of us at SMU are tired of moral victories. If the team doesn't win they failed. Period.
Being competitive and losing over an extended period of time is how coaches get fired.
At the end of the year no one goes through the teams schedule to see which games were competitive.
All that matters is how many Wins you had VS. Losses.
