Mitchell played despite an infection in his small intestine, which happened separately from the injured ribs and flu he's suffered this season.

For the love of gawd this kid has got to get healthy. I could easily see how he put the numbers up he did in the first half then fall apart in the second. Stomach bugs can suck the life out of you. Thats when he needs to man up and tell the coach "For the Team" play the other guy. Especially after an interception or 2.

Lets hope the Bye will get him healthy because the only chance we have against TCU next week is if he plays like the 1st quarter for all four.

Maybe he did. Maybe Mitchell at 65% or 70% still gives the team a better chance to win than installing the backup quarterback, cold, in the middle of the game.

BLM said he felt fine throughout the game. So don't blame it on the bug.

I think he just got lazy and (mentally) took a couple of plays off. Hopefully, this will be a lesson he'll learn from.

If Bo throws 2 INTs or more, we lose. I dont think we are good enough to overcome more than 1 turnover against TCU.

We can't afford ANY turnovers against TCU...unless we get 2-3 from them for every 1 of ours.

For those of you who didn't get jt's joke, what he basically said was this:

BLM will have no more than 2 INTs against Bye.

The only thing worse is having someone spell it out.

Sounds like a major lack of focus.

Lesson he will learn from? How many more starts does he need? will we see improvement at the end of next season? or the season after that? all the while the program is in the dumps and JJ is planning his return to the Islands 10 million dollars richer??

Hope he turns it around for the sake of the program. If he is unable to concentrate or focus on game day then he should not be playing.

I dont think he's the type of person to blame it on him being sick & with fractured ribs. either way he needs to be 100% healthy for TCU
