Last in the WAC *The worst football conference in the Country*
The only team in the WAC not to have a victory on their record yet
Facing the #2 Team in the Wac next week
I dont even know if I want to spend my Saturday coming to see us lose again. Driving 2 hours up to Dallas to see our Mustangs become 0-7?! yea right! That is crap guys!

No; the WAC isn't the worst conference in the country. That would be the SunBelt, where their best team (UNT) is only 3-3 and everyone else has a losing record. Most SunBelt teams have only one win and La-Laf joins SMU, ECU & Army in what has become the exclusive "no wins" club.

North Texas lost to Oklahoma, Arkansas and Air Force.

I am pretty sure we would be 4-2 with SMU's schedule.

Our only common opponent was Baylor, who we beat 52-14.

With that said, keep your heads up. It takes a while for a new coach to be able to turn a program around. Coach Dickey won a total of 8 games his first three year.

By now, the second year, we shoud SEE a DIFFERENCE, at least an IMPROVEMENT...more than the speculative difference as in recruits for the future.

Well, I cant argue with you on that. And I don't really follow the Ponies enough to know whats really going on, but I saw some of last nighs game and I have heard at least parts of quite a few over the last couple of years on the radio.

It seems to me that what usually happens is you guys play ok, are in a position to win, and then the offense self destructs and lets the other team either score or get great field position.

If Dickey was coaching your team your QB's would not have the oppurtunity to shoot the team in the foot. You would be lucky to throw ten times a game, KK and his backup would have about 45 caries a game.

He was your OC when our now OC Ramon Flanigan was setting all sorts of records at SMU.

Keep your covetous eyes off both of them.

Just curious.......why in the world would an active UNT fan be surfing an SMU posting board?

:hmm:

I like to keep an eye on the other two DFW teams, we all compete for recruits. I like to stay informed about whats going on with TCU and SMU.

I'de like for UNT/TCU/SMU to play each other once a year, heck I think we all ought to be in the same conference. Of course I am probably in the minority over here.

Houston won ZERO games in their former coaches 2nd year-in his third season they won 5 and even though they changed coaches the corner was turned with the young kids.
