had the Qb coach Dan Morrison and the Db coach Derek Odum give the presentatation - Both did an excellent job - on Defense we saw the 2 pass interfence calls and it was clear that they both were bogus calls - we saw some of the bad plays that cost us but mostly the good ones - you could tell that we are really improving - on offense the films highlighted all the things offense did right and why they were good (the reads, the blocking, the routes, and the cuts) and the 4 bad plays (what we did wrong and why) - it is truly a great learning experience - you have to be impressed on what we are doing and where we have to improve to move up (the plan) - you can see we are getting there

I agree we are getting there. I will say this, that our future QB's are probably going to be at 6-3 or more. After Coach Morrison showed used a video of one of the INT's it was simply a case of Bo not being able to see over the linemens heads to view the LB that was closing on Beasley,

I wasn't going to mention the two bogus interference calls, but since d_pony did, I will say they showed clear sideline and endzone shots, that showed Sterling Moore didn't even make contact on the 4th and 7 play, that he batted the ball away. It showed the PAC-10 official that made the call, standing about 4 feet away from the WSU coach, and he did not throw his LATE flag, until the coach went off on him. Total homecooking.

The pass interference calls were bad calls....horrible calls. However, it should not have come down to a pass interference call. SMU had multiple chances to put that game away. SMU should have hung 50 plus points on that team. The over throw by Bo in the 4th quarter that would have put us up by 14 really hurts but at least he made the right read. Attending the lunches made me realize how complicated the run and shoot offense is for a qb and why it is so difficult to defend when the qb and receivers make the right reads. Look folks, if you haven't been to a lunch please attend and show your support. Too many posters on this board [deleted] and moan but do not fully support the team. We are 2-1 and should be 3-0....a big improvement and we are still a real young team. The team you see this year will be the same team you see next year...almost everyone will be back. Let's get behind this team, continue to support the program, and be thankful we have a winning coaching staff that knows what they are doing.

Sounded like it on the radio, but wasn't sure since Craig Swann is no longer in the booth to tell us how bad the refs are. Regardless, we can't blame the refs for the loss, we should have never been in position for one or two bogus calls to cost us the game.

FYI
I was the one yelling profanities and drunkenly walking around whispering unfunny jokes in random people's ears

If you have not been to a lunch you are missing a great learning experience. I can say I know nothing about the run and shoot and it is complicated. We are doing a lot of things right and we ARE better.
Again, i will say, This team will go as far as Bo Wrangler Mitchell can take us. Period. There will not be any relief pitchers to come clean up after we get a big lead.
Great job coaches.

As someone who is not in Dallas I also appreciate the report. I had no idea that the calls were even questionable, much less clearly wrong. I wish I could be there.

The WSU color commentary guy on XM Radio made mention of a couple of calls that went WSU's way that shouldn't have. He particularly commented about Sterling Moore's play. However, he also complained earlier in the game about a couple of calls that went SMU's way, and he threw a fit about those.

BJ, thanks for your remarks and well said. If I were closer I would like to make the luncheons. Being in AZ makes it a little tough.

I agree. The non-calls for holding on WSU were a little upsetting to me as well.
