We are dead meat next weekend......unless we play absolutely perfect football. Just finished listening to the TCU / Clemson game and TCU is tough especially on defense. It was a mostly defensive game...14-10 final score. We cannot afford turn overs...Bo!
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: We are dead meat next weekend...
It took you listneing to this game on the radio to figure that out?
Re: We are dead meat next weekend...Was it TCU last year when our only TD was when we put the backup (Logan) in? Or was that Tech? Either way I think our only TD in this game will be late in the 4th with Braden
Re: We are dead meat next weekend...
Last year VS TCU Cole Loftin caught a td pass..but i am pretty sure it was in the 1st half..
Re: We are dead meat next weekend...
Yeah...I'm a sunshiner. We do play a different brand of football than Clemson...however we have been too prone to TOs...obviously. I actually think with our offensive scheme we could out score them and win, but not if we keep giving the ball away. Hence we must play an absolutly perfect game. BTW I said we "could" win not "would" win. SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: We are dead meat next weekend...we are not going to consistently move the ball on TCU. The only scenario I can see are a bunch of big plays by our speed guys Robinson(if he's healthy), Sanders and McNeil and maybe a KO/Punt return. I don't like our chances. But again TCU's offense is effective but not outstanding but it does complement its defense very well.

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: We are dead meat next weekend...I believe we can win this game or at least be very competitive. However, we can't do it if Bo throws to their team instead of ours.
GO PONIES!!!
Re: We are dead meat next weekend...
How many Int's will Jerry Hughes have this year against us?
Re: We are dead meat next weekend...Zero.
Go Mustangs!
Re: We are dead meat next weekend...With TCU having just beat Clemson, we have a better chance of winning than if they had just lost.
That being said, it will be interesting to see how SMU responds if they start the game without the lead. We haven't seen that yet. We know they have trouble playing with the lead. What if they don't have it? A Mustang Fan and an SMU Class Of 08 Theatre Major. Believe It.

Re: We are dead meat next weekend...
You think TCU hasn't learned anything since 2005? Gary Patterson was likely showing videos of the 2005 TCU-SMU game to the team on the return flight from South Carolina. Plus, TCU's letdown in the 2005 contest came after defeating #5 OU in Norman. The Clemson game was big, but nowhere nearly that big. ![]() These Frogs have horns!
Re: We are dead meat next weekend...With TCU's big win, what do you think the attendance will be?
Re: We are dead meat next weekend...
You would think they would have around 50,000 with that 3 and 0 start and a big win.
