Patterson makes us sound top 5. Gotta love coach-speak.

I listened to the whole interview, Kate left out a number of things said at the end. Some of the most telling feelings from Patterson, came near the conclusion of the interview, he sounds like he is lathered up already! He also said, they may break out the black uniforms for this game, I got the feeling they want a massive blowout Saturday. This is a quote from a TCU supporter that listened to this as well.
"TCU will be very ready for this game. With everything Patterson has said about it. These guys are going to be looking to destroy SMU. SMU's attitude will be completely irrelevant. TCU is determined to make a statement and more importantly get better each week. I expect a very strong effort and a decisive win."

It will be nice when one of these days, SMU plays with that kind of attitude or when we as fans can feel that way with regards to what we will see by SMU out on the field.

There have not been many games in the last 20 years where SMU has come out with confidence that they were going to beath the living $h!t out of the opponent. How many games have we won were we have been up by 28 points? Not saying that they don't win, but they don't come out of the tunnel expecting to win very often.

The best thing about a blowout is that you can quickly put it behind you. The close losses are tougher. So let's get this thing over with by halftime.

PonySnob, that's the first intelligent post of yours that I have ever read on this board. I completely agree.

Fellas those days will come and we will say that about TCU soon as well..........have faith.....the boys will play [deleted] Saturday......they will be ready.....it won't be that bad.....their offense is not that good and our defense is faster and more aggressive than in years past...if we can stop their running game and force them to pass that's where we have some hope...

Don't get me wrong, I don't expect to win this weekend. But the attitude of a lot of these TCU guys is a little outta control. It ranges between saying our program and control is completely irrelevant to saying that they pretty much hate us and want to destroy us. C'mon guys, find a middle ground. If we are not a threat in the least, then your frog posts should reflect that. If you're playing a game that is so far beneath your program that you expect to win by 100 points, why try to belittle your opponent? All the negativity does is give us more credibility.
Either way, it's funny to me. If you guys weren't so worried about a huge letdown coming off a huge win (and i'm with you on that one, beating Clemson was awesome for you guys. it lead to your much-deserved ranking), you wouldn't be filled with such anger. Enjoy the times, guys, don't get so worked up over it. I'd kill to have as successful a program currently as the froggies, but that's just not the case. But leave the threatening rhetoric at home unless you are really that worried about an upset.
