Topic From TCU Boards: Should TCU stop playing SMU?

I say we schedule SMU when it's convenient for us to do so. Every year is a bit much. Do we really have anything to prove to SMU anymore? We've beaten them nine of the last 11 times we've played them. We've been to like 15 bowl games since they've been to one. We've been ranked, I dunno, 100 weeks in the polls since the last time they were.
TCU has taken the step to national power. SMU has long been a national and conference doormat. It's time to schedule them when it works for us, and when it doesn't, who cares?
I agree we should play them a few times each decade. But every year might be a bit much in my view.
9 of 11 times? You've won 9 of 11 times and now you want to drop us? We kept you overrated purple pansies on the schedule after wrecking you 15 times in a row. Wanna fix your SOS? Drop Stephen F Austin or Texas State.
Admittedly, most of that thread wants to keep SMU every year. But that guy just chapped my rear the wrong way.
