Orsini's job status

I've given this some thought and believe his position should be called into question if the following happens:

1. Football doesn't show marked improvement.
2. Men's BB tanks again
3. Both soccer teams end up with stinko records.

These hires are on his watch. He's tried to flip this athletic department. His results are embarrassing. The top 25 on everything we do is complete lip service. He's surrounded by yes men happy to have a job. His tenure has been a failure to this point.

So he gets a pass for what has transpired. Oh, ok! Guess we can't have an opinion until 2011? Now that's dumb.

Football team has already showed marked improvement...doubled our win total from last year! 1 down and 2 to go!

No General. You can have an opinion. But your opinion now is premature. It will be educated in 2011. It may be the same, but it will be educated.

I hope your right and I'm wrong. I just don't like what I see from him and he's been here 3 years. This better be the year where major things occur.

3 years after 20 years of ignorance and mismanagement is just a blink of an eye. We did not come out of the self binding restrictions of the death penalty until 2 years ago.

I completely agree Ponyboy. Every week I read the same baseless and negative remarks from Patton and every week I think to myself how unfortunate it is that such a pessimist carries a voice for our school. In my opinion Orsini has done a better job than anyone prior to the dp. While I agree that the results of our bb team have been atrocious, I don't remember anyone complaining at the time we hired Doherty. I also feel like Orsini has played a major role in changing the model by which we recruit and over time we will begin to see the benefits of this change.

There are many different ways by which Orsini should be judged and narrowing these down to three bullet points is more than unfair. The bottom line here is, yes we are still struggling in many areas athletically, but I for one do see light at the end of the tunnel and I hope more of you begin to feel this way as well.

Now then, GO SMU! Beat the hell out of TCU!!!

I don't think anyone here likes what we see from you on a day to day basis, and it seems like you've been here forever

4 years = 48 months

Orisini has been here for 40 months.

I don't think Sgt should be beaten up for stating his opinion on Orsini.

So far I think SO has struck out on 2 of his 3 most important hires, although I am optimistic on the 3rd...that being JJ.

I do like his fundraising ability however. And Sgt, you should also remember, the changes to the Model occured under his watch.

A man named Steve O came to Orlando. And changed the face of Football & Basketball.

When my son played there, I asked the head coach Mike K if he thought that we would ever get a million dollar coach or an on campus stadium. He laughed and said they would never get it because there was no money and or support. Mike K was making $150,000 a year. And did not believe it was possible (ZERO VISION)

That year UCF went 3 and 9 in football. Lost to Central Michigan and the Mob Boss walked in and FIRED HIS AS_s. One year later they were the only school in history to break ground simultaneously on a world class basket ball arena and a new on campus football stadium. Steve O has the vision to do what will work. I bought Season Tickets to the Mustangs before the hire of June Jones because I know Steve’s a winner.

Did I mention they pay their coach a million a year, and average attendance of 39,596 ish a game? Some where around 60th in all FBS teams

Watch what happens this year to the basketball coach if he flops.
