Dr. Lou Solves SMU QB Problems

actually pretty funny tonite. He told story about having a spring meeting with ND QB Steve Beurlien in which he was reviewing the QBs ND's performance in the previous season. I think Lou was in his first season and they discussed how Beurlein had thrown 17 Interceptions the year before. Lou told Beurlien that after he got through coaching him he wouldn't throw more than 6 Ints a season. Beurlien was excited and said "That's great Coach-what are we going to do to cutdown on the Ints?". Holtz replied: "Well once you throw your 6th Interception, you're going to come sit on the Bench'with me.

i like it. Since Bo has no competition on the depth chart, use the old straw man. Its bo against himself. Beurlein probably didnt have any competition either, but at some point it doesnt matter, the kid has to come off the field if he is self destructing.

Haaa, sounds like Lou would have us in the single wing at this point

Coach Lou was great at Arkansas as well.....a real personality and I remember him on The Tonight Show and he did a magic trick with the tearing the newspaper into sections and it worked! he is a character.......
