we have to win four of the next eight. doesn't look good right now. some teams are beginning to show life. our qb situation should be resolved in the next two weeks. either bm steps up or the next guy in line has to be given a shot, whether it is braden or padron. i'm pulling for bm but so far he has been a major disappointment to say the least.

Why two weeks? BLM has already shown he can't handle this system with any degree of accuracy. Looks like next year we start over with a new qb and more learning. Seems like JJ has a good strategy to use up his 5 years with no tangible results- just keep breaking in new qb's.
GO PONIES!!!

Relax folks. We have sucked for 20 years. We have a coach that has a winning track record for the first time in 20 years. It is not like Tom Brady is on the bench waiting to play. The run and shoot is difficult to run so ease off the bench Bo talk. If you really understood the offense and its complexity then you may have a little different opinion about it. We are building a program for once. We still have the youngest team in the country. Let's quit being so negative all the time and get behind the program. Changes have been made in the the admission process to get more competitive in recruiting and we have great coaches. We are still a young team. I like the direction the program is going regardless if a bowl game is in the cards for this year.

Again I agree with Billy Joe. As I have stated before, no reason to jump off the Tallahatchie bridge.

jj obviously fell in love with bm. todd christensen who was the color guy for the game said that jj told him bm remined him of billy joe tolliver of the atlanta falcons when jj was there.
for whatever reason jj loves the guy and doesn't believe braden can play and padron isn't ready. just a hunch on my part that even jj can't put up with two more losses.
in bm's defense aldrick is no longer a deep threat due to injury. i don't think he ran one deep route. wilkerson is now the deep guy.

Here is our reality for this season folks - if this team continues to improve on a week to week basis then 6 wins and a bowl game is realistic. We should be able to compete and possibly win every game remaining on our scheduled expect for Houston. If this team does not continue to improve on a weekly basis (I think it will) then a bowl game will not happen. The qb position will be wide open for next year with McDermott, Mitchell, and Padron competing for the job.....the best qb will play.

Christensen said JJ made that comment regarding BLM's toughness

I'm really tired of the "hard to learn" argument. His poor play has nothing to do with that. He's had over a year in this offense. His poor play is killing the team. Continues to lock on WR's immediately and doesn't go through progressions. His deep ball is just awful this year. Why have the "gunslinger" with the big arm in the game if he can't connect with wide open WR's (Sanders and Wilkerson would have had TD's). Give me Braden and his accurate short-mid throws and let McNeal do the rest.
