Don't boo. Just get up and leave at the same time.

If we are really serious about this and if we truly believe the university is missing the point, what if there was a collective walk out as this halftime ceremony began?
I know these things never gain much momentum because people either forget or lose interest quickly. But somehow, some way, administration needs to hear from people who are strongly opposed to this.
Halftme is tricky because others are going to the concessions and whatnot so it would be hard to tell if it ever worked.
Maybe this is a bad idea. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

Im not going to the game anyway. I decided to only go to games I think we can win from now on. So I am going to try and make it to Rice and UTEP and Tulane.

I think this is the one (and only) time it would be appropriate to boo. This is an abomination of the greatest proportion.

Because I am not a gelding and because I sat throught through a rainstorm in the second quarter on Saturday and stuck around through the third and fourth quarters, and because I want to watch SMU win, I am not going to walk out.
You do what you want. Just know that I am going to think you suck.

On behalf of myself and the other 5 that will be with me that day, we will leave at the beginning of halftime and return to see the Mustang Band!

Again, this was probably a bad idea. I just thought it would throw it out there for FEEDBACK!!
That's what this forum is for -- to discuss and weigh ideas and whatnot. Geez!!
And Dooby, I saw the slashing tires comment.

You guys don't know how good you have it. I live 1,200 miles from campus (still made 2 games last year). Go to the games and enjoy yourselves.

You're suggesting we turn our backs on the players who are out there busting their tails for us, in response to an idea they had nothing to do with? Ridiculous idea.
I understand the thinking, but walking out on our team is never acceptable.

It is also rude towards TBoone and his wife. They are trying to do something good and know nothing of our traditions. If you really want to make a statement get a big group of folks to simulateously drop a duece in Turner's front yard.

Didn't he suggest we leave at half? I'm pretty sure the players won't be out there.

Why do they know nothing of our traditions? Their kid went to SMU!

Regardless of what each one of us thinks of this situation it probably would not be good to boo because we may have recruits at the game.

I believe that the band will not be playing at halftime in order to make time for the presentation of the new horses.

Well then I certainly won't have to hurry back! How long does it take to donate two horses anyway?
