Word is Pinkney sick with flu and will miss SMU game
Don't know if it's true or not but it's being posted on boneyardbanter. Also RB Brandon Jackson is out with the flu for sure and a couple of other players.

If this is true, since their QB is like 24 and majored in "child development" I bet he caught the flu from one of his kids.

THis indeed could be scary....with that QB and RB, ECU's offense was one of the worst in the nation, this gives them a chance to try out some seasoned backups as starters...they could be fresh and hungry.

Seems like Pickney has been there forever, he is not a QB that strikes fear into you...not sure about their backup, but you have to figure that SMU game planned for Pickney all week, a different style QB at this point could do more harm than good.

Maybe they will still play, like SMU players who are sick with the flu, have ulcers, etc.

Yep, maybe their QB will play sick and throw four picks, with two returned for long touchdowns...naw, that probably never happens to anyone....

you guys watch I'll bet their backup plays a completely different style than Pinkney. Isnt that what happened w/ Rice a few years back?

ECU board also speculating one of ECU's top DBs maybe out. I think his name is Levin Joseph-anyway he's the kid who was out early in the season and his backup apparently got burned deep several times. In fact there is speculation that "half the team is sick" and there could be several more out with the flu.

so we have potentially their QB, a LB, a DB, and a RB missing from ECU?

I read where he's focused and re-dedicated to having a breakout game in the secondary.

by breakout game, do you mean setting the single record for interceptions?
