Thank GAWD we do not rely solely on our offense...

...the D and Special Teams brought it home for us tonight.

The offense was mediocre - never did gel. I will say BLM's accuracy looked better, but still bad decisions and poor execution.

Pet peeve: Could we run a draw OR run a dive? Running these slow draws where BLM never even HINTS that he's doing anything but handing off the ball drives me NUTS. Just call it a dive and speed it up, or call it a draw and fake the pass drop first. YEESH.

Great feel in the stands tonight - and, a win is a win.

But June Jones hasn't ever been known for having a great D and Special Teams - he's known for his offense... we HAVE to have a June Jones offense (in the traditional sense) to be able to compete next week.

Improved D is to be commended so far, props to the staff for making it work with what we got.

I look at this as the one of the more well rounded games we ever played. Each part of our team did enough for us to win. Why take a win over a solid team as a negative? Their offense only scored 14 points as well. Big deal. We won! Let me repeat myself - WE WON!

D-fence after all these years

D-fence has been the worst part of our post-DP record. This year's improvement is truly surprising and the best part of being 3-2. Now that we are making interceptions, all it takes to win is not throwing any interceptions (like tonight against ECU).

This year's D is SOOOO much better. We still have to continue to improve, but man, it is so great to watch them play.

My defense MVP so far this year? Chase Kennemer. Damn, that guy can tackle. I think they said he had like 18 tackles tonight? It was in the teens, I know that. He is in on so many plays, it is simply unbelievable.

Rock Dennis gets a pick 6, and really had a chance for 2 other INTs had he been able to get a handle on the ball.

2 blocked field goals? Are you kidding me? And then McCann returns one for a TD? I was beside myself.
