Thought it was better but not exceptionally better. Yes, they changed the music between all the plays with all that be-bop stuff. I was OK with it. Get the fans into the game.
Love the feedback on the microphone in the first half. We're now putting a mic on the SMU band and then we're talking over it?
Fire off that My City song or whatever is during an SMU drive and not after ECU scores.
PA announcer sounded like he was a poor man's version of the late Perry Como.
College Scores update was much much better. Stat updates were better.
We need our sideline babe to get more face time. Hot!
I'm sure I missed a lot but that's the best I can remember.

You'd think with a month between games they could make sure there are no burned out bulbs on the scoreboard, and that the screen works. We're all getting spoiled by HD screens anyway. Anyone seen the new screens at the AAC? Wow.

I thought the 3 blocks on the right side of the screen just added to the mystery. Nice touch.

The screen was awful, but not as bad as the mic on the band...it creates all kinds of problems.
Overall I thought it was an adequate presentation, but there is a ton of room for improvement...not unlike how the team played tonight!

I wonder if that's JJ's doing (putting the mic over where the students/band are and piping it over to the 'home' section) It's NFL-ish, and JJ likes NFL-ish stuff. Dungy's Colts did it a couple of years ago. Visiting teams whined, Colts said who, us?...then I think they quit doing it.

High school bands got a nice reception, although their flag corps were useless. Audio sucked and the video blew. Stats and game scores were better. Nice blaring of classic rock song while Kennemer was laying flat on his back (WTF?). Mustang Band was solid sans the microphone. I sat with some recruits' parents, and they were impressed with the night. Good thing they were watching the game and nothing else.

Yeah, the mics on the band has been tried before and I guess they haven't figured out that it counterproductive.

My main complaint is the same one I have had for years - REPLAYS!
I don't recall seeing a replay of Aldrick's long TD, and why don't we show replays of plays that are being reviewed? (ie, the last touchdown with 5 minutes to go)

M Band sounds awful on the PA..The mics aren' put in the correct place, so the sound is not balanced and there is a delay...
The arena football presentation with music droning on between plays...I mean what's that all about.
The "sideline reporter's" presentation. Her screaching voice is like chalk on a board.
On a positive note. M Band did a really nice job at halftime.

I was wondering the same thing, if anything begs for a replay in a game, it's a 96 yard TD pass.

While the sideline guy was easy on the eyes she has got to learn how to use a mic and not scream in it.
I brought a friend of mine to the game that is in the broadcast business. He kept shaking his head between the feedback, open mics and the annoucer himself. I kept trying to talk him into taking over and by the end of the game he was like sure make some calls.
We need something changed. BTW the speakers around the 50yard line are way to loud, hadn't noticed it before since I normally got tickets on the 20, but lucked out this week when I called the ticket office. They need to put speakers on the east side of the stadium to balance it out. I looked over there and only saw 2 for the entire side.

Funny, I swear before the season started JJ tweeted he was at Ford and "the new sound system sound[ed] great!"

Maybe it is where I sit and maybe that I am going deaf in my right ear, but last night was the best I have heard the sound system. I have read about the mic on the band but actually heard it last night and it was great. I think there were some aside comments coming across because I would see some around me giggle and/or cringe, but I could not hear those. I actually felt that there was big improvement, but that is only my opinion.
Also, it always sounds better while cheering rather than just shaking ones head and muttering "why?".

Mrydel, you are great person and are right about 98% of the time...The band sounded awful on th mic. The alumni band needs to give you some music lessons

Did you ever stop to think maybe they are targeting old geezers that are hard of hearing? We are becoming the majority group. Gray power!!! Blue hairs unite!!!! Where are my teeth?!!!!
