Is the Navy game going to be televised?

i caught the game last night on DirectV here in Los Angles on channel 640. It would be great to see the Navy game out here as well, its tough not be in Dallas! I would think this game played on any other fall weekend might actually draw a decent crowd. Given we should be 4-1 and they are 4-2 (and as pointed out on another thread actually had a chance against Ohio State) i would hope that might bring out some of the faithful-

its supposed to be televised by the same Network that did the ECU game. So if you got the ECU game it may be seen in your area

Went to two bars last night, and MASN ch. 640 was "blacked out" at both of them. Anybody know if it is normal for Direct TV to do that in certain areas. Annoying

If they don't have the extended sports package?

I guess not. I just assumed they did have that package because they alway cater to the college crowd and show about nine games at the same time. They showed me where it was coming up on their "guide," but the link was darker than the others, and you were not allowed to click on it

I would doubt this the case with MASN, but I often get blackout notices on games on Dish but it is showing on another channel. For instance they may have the game listed on ESPN 2 and it is balcked out but it shows up on an ESPN alternate channel. Is it possible t was on another channel in your area? Did they check them? Just a thought.

CBS College televises almost all Navy games and did the Middie-Mustang game last year. They should do it again this year. I know they showed the Navy-Rice game from Rice Stadium in Houston Saturday, so they should televise to Big D from Ford.

Nope, looks like CBS-C is showing Houston @ Tulane and Miami @ UCF

press release earlier said our games would be on Texas Channel or Metro Sports. I have set DVR to Texas Channel twice here is San Antonio (Time Warner Ch. 888) and both times what recorded was a Southland Conference game.
I asked for help in earlier post from San Antonio Mustang or someone else down here. What is correct Time Warner Channel to get SMU games ? Yes, I have the super dooper sport package with all the channels but for some reason can't get our games.

I'm in Dallas and recorded the game on DirecTV 640, and I DO NOT have a sports package. I would double-check, but it appears they can control the content provided by market.
