Last week, the Vegas odds makers had ECU giving 6-1/2 points.
Can the Mustangs do it two in a row?

I would have guessed 10+ given what they did at Rice. I hate to say it, but I don't think our defense can handle this much running in the triple option.

Our defense has been opportunisticly lucky (making their own luck). They know how to force turnovers and have developed the confidence that they are going to do so. This is what they need to do to be successful against Navy. A few nicely timed crack downs on the QB as he is preparing to pitch and we could cause them some problems. Key is though, as ponyte said to get ahead and make them play catch up. If it is a ball control game, they win easy.

It's all about assignments. One takes the fullback belly. One takes the QB. One takes the pitch man. It has to start with discipline.

The triple option does scare me - we seemed to let the ECU 3rd string RB run a little more free than I'd like last night. Hopefully they can tighten it up and get it done, but I will be pleasantly surprised if we can pull this one out.
I several other good chances for a W (and I will be there cheering them on), but this is going to be a tough one.

I would be shocked if this is not a VERY DIFFICULT game for us.
It may take almost 40 points to win this game.
We'll see.....

Navy's attack pretty much eliminates the interception ability of our defense, which so far has been at least somewhat impressive. Maybe they throw Margus out there and see what happens

Time to force fumbles and make sacks.

I am just glad we beat ECU. We had to beat ECU or NAvy and we beat ECU.
To beat Navy we will need to move the ball efficiently by passing. That is where Navy's D has some vulnerability. Don't count on running a lot vs. Navy. And Navy will score on our defense, even our improved defense.,

This is going to be a really interesting game to watch our D. My guess is we are going to see a lot of the 2 deep rotating in on the D-Line to keep people fresh. I wonder if they mix up the formations and/or the personel too...

That is giving us quite a bit of credit. To me Navy is the swing game for the rest of the season. Had we just beaten freaking Wazzu it probably would be in the bag for getting to 6 wins. However now its going to be a fight to the finish to get to bowl eligible. If we beat Navy I think it could catapult us to 7 or maybe even 8 wins.
