I had the opportunity to have lunch today during a pre-grand opening at the new Pluckers in Arlington in the Arlington Highlands at I-20 and Matlock. A great place to watch college football with over 50 televisions with two big projection T.V's. I have not been to the Dallas location so I cannot compare. The mgr told me it was quite bigger than the Dallas location. The official grand opening is next Monday 10-19. It would be a great place to watch Peruna kill another mascot.

I frequented the Dallas location many times during my 4 years at SMU. I gotta tell ya, the first 2 years I was there was awesome, but I stopped going by junior year. The wings got smaller and smaller, I could get better beer cheaper, and the service was just awful (and I noticed considering I'm a waiter).

BUT! The good news is I hit up a Pluckers in San Marcos when I floated the river this summer. Fantastic service, so I wouldn't judge the new Arlington one by that Dallas one.

It's funny, I noticed the same thing about the Pluckers here in Dallas. The wings are still good, but the service is atrocious, even if you are, as I usually am, sitting at the bar. I hope the Arlington location is better in that department.

Yeah, the service blows and ever since they started IDing 18 year olds it kinda died out. Good wings!
