So its a horse drawn cannon. That is all I have heard so far. Is it going to be at every game ? Are we going to fire it every time we score like UT does? Or is this just for the Navy game? Didn't SMU have a cannon a long time ago?

I think it goes in the NW corner of the stadium, opposite Stallion's gushing oil derrick in the SE side. Actually I guess it needs to be NE/SW, lest we impose our gushing well on the visiting fans.

I think we should all yell like Indians and do a tomahawk style chopping motion to signify the Mustangs winning stuff!

The real question:

Will our wild and free Geldings be the ones pulling the horse-drawn cannon?

Why didnt they think of the cannon sooner???? It could have saved a lot of money spent on demolition costs for the Bush Library!

Let's see what the horses do when the cannon is fired off directly behind them

Can't they just steal the one of the KA's front porch?

Can't anything be "horse drawn" if you have some horses and some rope?

I thought that was the location for the orange and black wind mill.

If we're going to have a cannon/artillery type gimmick, we should at least do it in SMU fashion - let's get a surplus german tank made by Benz or something.

Obviously if the cannon is going to be pulled by our 'phony ponies' it will be shooting blanks- right? :D

This was my question last Saturday when they kept advertising all of the festivities before the Navy game. Any ideas where the cannon came (or is coming) from?
