Conference USA Realities...
Posted: Thu Oct 16, 2003 7:35 am...while we are FINALLY heading to a confrence with some "regional sense", this league will make most serious college football fans, media types, and TV executives YAWN....YES!! I will have a blast in New Orleans...YES!! playing add-ran u. (that's tcu, for the uneducated) is GOOD...the "mini SWC" is cool....but, take a step back, look at this thing from a distance, what it is is a "watered down", "all our dreg-es" live in Texas, Isle of Misfits, a train with square wheels, a "charlie in the box", and basically, 12 teams that aren't allowed to play big-time football...but, that's "o.k.", this IS better, we ARE heading in the right direction, UAB!, UAB!, UAB!, what's Cent. Florida's nickname??, isn't East Carolina 0-6 as well? COOL!! Long Live Chuck Hixson... :hmm:
