Guess The Powers At Be Got To PonyPride and Webmaster

With the risk of getting this post banned from the football board (and/or have my post shipped to the Siberia forum that is known "Around the Hilltop," I offer the following:
I realize that his is your board and that you can do what you want, when you want, and how you want. However, I am very disappointed in you two to bow to pressure from whereever it came from to move the posts regarding Peruna to the other board and start censoring posts. Your website had come of age and you acknowledged the massive amounts of traffic since this controversy arose. This had become entertaining like the original "Mustang Maniacs" board and had shed the mantel of "Sunshiners Board" that it had in the late 90's and early 00's. Well guess old habits die hard. Yet you allowed the symbol of SMU to be discussed appropriately on the football board. But today, you boot the posts on this forum which leads one to the have the following thoughts:
1. Has the Prez or the AD office threatened to cut you off from access for stories; and/or
2. Has Someone made you an offer you couldn't refuse; and/or
3. Maybe, you don't like traditionalists (which I don't understand because you have been big supporters of the band in the past)
One final note.....If this is not an appropriate place for Peruna posts, why do you have a sticky with Orsini's letter (press release) on the football forum and not over on the Siberia forum?

It is public info, especially by those who attended the ponyfans.com/ponystampede.com radio show last year, that Steve [deleted], with the site, is in with SMU.

The above post are merely opinion and not fact. It is strange that all of a sudden that many posts that were acceptable were unacceptable. This could simply have been address by either of them saying that in the future Peruna Posts will be on the Hilltop forum. The vast majority of us who haved enjoyed this site would have gladly obliged.

Folks, I think we are all aware of Pony Pride's sports writing ability and the extraordinary amount of time he puts into providing us with the information about SMU sports that he does. I hope you are also aware that he must make a living somewhere in order to provide us, the Ponyfans.com family, with all this good information and his great articles. Guess what...Ponyfans.com is not a paying gig for him or if it pays at all it's not much. So as an SMU graduate with outstanding journalism capabilities and love for SMU it's only natural that he might wind up with some SMU employment engagements from time to time. However, he does also need to walk a tightrope to maintain the open relationship with the University and athletic department to be able to provide us with the information he does. I can assure you though, that his motivations for deleting or moving threads has nothing to do with the University or the athletic department, but is solely based upon his own basis of personal character and his sense of fairness and appropriateness of subject matter.
So everyone chill out.

Don't attack the people providing us PFs.
PFs has allowed open discussion of the Mustang horses on the Football board for some time. It is arguable both ways if ithe Mustang horses should be considered "football". As Peruna is still and will still be our mascot, the only discussion left is what if anything will be done with the Mustang horses.
Thanks PFs for allowing the discussion of the Mustang horses for such a long time on the football board. Thanks for allowing those who want to continue to pontificate about if and how the Mustang horses may be used a place to do so outside of the football board.
Those coming to the football board wanting to talk about the football part of our 3-2 football Mustangs can do so and those wanting to talk Mustang horses can too.
Go Mustangs. May we wear Peruna out in the Navy game as much as we have on PFs

Wow — posting my LinkedIn bio? Interesting. I trust you'll forgive me for deleting that post.
For the record, I did work for SMU ... twice — once in the athletic department, and once in another school on campus. I obviously have not updated that bio lately, but I no longer work for the university. The reason the threads were moved was because the horse-related threads were obscuring football-related topics on the football board. We are not deleting horse-related threads, unless they spiral into a slew of name-calling, as some have.
If you have a question about threads being moved or deleted, please feel free to send me (or Webmaster) a PM.

Your board, you're more than free to delete anything. Not exactly secret info - your name is very public with the board, and I didn't associate it with the 'ponypride' name. Your linkedin bio is also public and came up on google on page 1.
