Why Horse Threads Belong On Football Board

1) The discussion is about the possible involvement of two new horses at future football games. At this time, Orsini himself admits that the capacity in which the horses are involved in the future is undetermined. Many on this board are concerned that while the school says they are not replacing Peruna, they will in fact relieve him of certain duties such as leading the team onto the field. Peruna has been discussed on the football board many times, and the discussion has never, ever been moved.
2) There is also discussion of the halftime ceremony, which is part of football game presentation. Game presentation has often been discussed on the football board, and the discussion has never, ever been moved before. The band also performs at halftime. The band has often been discussed on the football board before. This discussion has never, ever been moved before.
Moving the threads about the new horses off of the Football board sets a dangerous precedent. It sends a message to the members of this board that discussion of our beloved mascot Peruna, presentation of football games, halftime performance of the band, and all other ancillary aspects to football on the Hilltop such as The Boulevard and Mustang Club trips to away games will no longer be tolerated on the Football board.
The message is that the Football board is for discussing X's and O's only and no discussion of anything other than the on-field performance should be discussed.

Not to mention that the football coach attended - and spoke at - the press conference announcing the event which is the issue being discussed in the aforementioned horse threads.

Peruna threads are no different from game presentation threads, announcer threads, attendance threads, boulevarding threads, band threads, and concession threads.
All historically are allowed on the football board.

the guys bitchin' about discussing the Big Phony Ponyz don't dare discuss anything controversial like football because they might get fired or lose Mustang Club inner circle ticket. They are butt-slappers many of which never had an opinion of any substance on the board. Some don't even post because they don't know much football. No body would read the Football board if they had to get insight from these guys. Check 'em out-you see the guys taking orders from the AD and Head Coach. Not much substance there. Think though they should at least reveal that they have a conflict of interest in that some are actually member of the Athletic Department or are otherwise affiliated very closely with Athletic program.

Guys...with the advent of broadband...reading the other boards isn't all that hard (it takes 25 seconds to click over there). Some of those other posts got really off topic, with a couple fueds going on (like the exceptionally hilarious 0.02% thread). I want Peruna to stay, not some ball-less horse, but I really feel like you are being drama queens over the posts being moved. We play Navy in two days, the horses will be revealed, and we can voice our opinions when the AD gives some more direction.
The tradition won't stick if no one gives it traction. I enjoyed the discussion on all of Peruna's history, but I'm getting really tired of people whining about erroneous things.
And yes, I understand Peruna only goes to football games, so please no one respond with that.

Dangerous? Relax, you'll live longer
Nobody is being denied the ability to discuss topics. A MAJORITY of the discussion on any of the boards should pertain to the heading of that board; otherwise, people wanting to discuss and read that topic go somewhere else. No discussion is being denied, just better categorized. I'm sure the university will inform us sometime next year if and how the mustang horses may be used - until then, Around the Hilltop

First they came for the horse threads, and I did not speak out - because I was not a horse thread...
Thank you for your courage.
