This is against Rice, courtesy of the Washington Post

A few numbers from Navy's win 63-14 over Rice:

9 - Rushing touchdowns by Navy, the most since Nov. 22, 1997, when the Midshipmen also ran for nine touchdowns against Kent State in a 62-29 victory.

49 - Margin of victory, Navy's largest since Dec. 1, 1973, when the Midshipmen beat Army, 51-0.

148 - Number of knockdowns by Navy's offensive players, an all-time record according to Coach Ken Niumatalolo. "I can't remember us having that many before," he said. 'We had 100 amongst the offensive linemen, which in the years I coached them, they never had that many."

471 - Yards rushing by Navy, the 10th-best total in school history.

537 - Yards of total offense by Navy, the 28th-best total in school history.

And Rice appears to have quickly gone back to what they should always be...a team at the bottom of the standings.

Hope we don't get anyone hurt due to their blocking.

Looking forward to this game. Would be a big win for the Mustangs.

I heard from one of the SMU Team doctors that the D line ( either all or some of the guys I don't recall) was going to wear those steel knee braces this week like the O line wears to help protect the knees from the Navy cut back blocks...be interesting to see if they do indeed take that tack tonight and how it affects their mobility....
