Apparently, Michael Martin Murphy will be lip syncing "Wildfire." With our sound system can you imagine what that is going to sound like?

Probably better than if he tried to sing it over our sound system...

I guess that song has a time and place, but it sure as hell isn't at a football game. I'm going to cringe along with anyone else 30 and under when that plays...Why can't we just do the horse introduction and leave it at that?

The only thing that will be missing from the parade, pregame and halftime shows is the Shriners and their little cars.

The over-35ers will be i-phoning and You-tubing the good ole days.

Does that mean the Dallas County Sheriff's Posse will be "dropping" by?
Since this "event" is going to "happen", I cannot wait til the Blvd. opens. There is some serious hell-raisin' that needs to be done. How long has it been since there has been an arrest for a protest on the SMU campus? It may be time to unload the remainder of that late 60s/early 70s angst.

I was in college when that song came out and I think I can speak for almost all the men that none of us liked that song. it was sappy, long and a stupid message. I still don't like it.
reminds me of the sappy song in 'Animal House" were John Beluchi breaks the singer's guitar against the wall.

Although it should be noted it was a great song to have playing on the record player (yeah we had those back then) when you were trying to get past first base, at least that's what my friends told me.

Let's see..

One cannon...
two geldings...
Native American Tribes
Lip Sync singing about a PONY!
Trying to set up a stage and tear it down
Unhappy fans
Sound system that HAS NEVER WORKED RIGHT

It's going to be interesting
