Riddle me this Batman.....

1:07 in the first half.....
3 time outs
Navy has the ball inside the 20
We have a PK who has hit a 50+ yard field goal

CALL TIME OUT AND GET THE BALL BACK......Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Those things happen..You have to put your players in the position to make the play....and we didn't in the 1st half

And if he calls Timeout and BLM throws a pick 6 then he should have let the clock run out up by 14, right?

I was sure surprised about that. Didn't make much sense to me. Sent the message to team that they should be satisfied. conversely, at the end of the game i thought we started calling timeouts too early when navy had the ball. that could have backfired with one option pitch down the sideline.

I was more bothered by the last 2 possessions of the first half. we got the ball near midfield twice with chances to go up 28-7 and the offense went completely soft twice. 21-7 kept navy in the game bigtime.

And another thing..

4 & 2 used your timeouts to get the ball.....Don't you tell your players...whatever you do ...DON"T JUMP OFFSIDES.....

Im sure they told them "Jump offsides if you feel like it". Did you ever think maybe they told them and he jumped anyway?

Bottom line, up 14 which is where you want to be with Navy but had nothing consistent from offense and no special teams plays.

Got to watch replay -- not sure if passes were off or receivers didn't catch. Assume both.

Where would we be if we didn't have Mcneal?

Feel sorry for the guys. The W would have been great and know they would of loved to have won the Ganz trophy.

Our kicker was just off tonite for some reason and it hurt us. And BLM left too many points on the turf again by missing wide open receivers for tds in the first half. Navy came out and apeared to want it more in the second half and that wins games.

The missed interception was the difference. 14 point swing.

Probably can point to a lot of plays that made the difference -- penalties?

the real damaging series to me was when we were backed up to the 6 yard line off a navy kickoff. on 2nd down and 3rd down BLM chooses to air it out down the sideline twice. WHY???????????????? Low percentage bad plays and passes. we then punt from the end zone, navy gets great field position, scores and takes control. IN that situation, you have to get a first down, not throw two hail freakin marys.

Agreed. Missed pick 6 was huge. The pass interference call on 3rd and a mile was also huge. Ball was clearly uncatchable. I belive they went on to score on that drive. Get either play and we win the game.
