Observation: Bad quarterbacking year in college football

Postby George S. Patton » Sun Oct 18, 2009 12:22 am

I don't know what it is, but it doesn't matter if it's Mitchell, McCoy, Tebow, Mallett, Pryor, Clausen or whoever, it just doesn't seem like we've been watching quarterbacks really step up and be good players this year.

I just haven't seen anything overly impressive or some guy or 4-6 guys who have really established themselves of be all, end all. Are defensive changes adjusting to the spreads? Were the QB classes from 1-4 years ago just not panning out? Is this just an off year?

When you look at the Heisman Trophy Candidate leaders, I just say, "Ok, I guess because there really isn't anyone stepping to the front.''

What does anyone else think?
