Ran into the Mustangs' senior center after the game and asked him about the injury that forced him from Saturday's game. He said he was hurt when someone rolled up on his left leg. He said there isn't believed to be any structural damage, and that he sprained his ankle and knee, and acknowledged that it was very painful, but said he plans to miss no playing time.
"I'm playing next week," he said.

I sure hope Mitch is alright, because you never know where McJunkin will snap the ball.

I hope all of our players are okay. We are going to need them to be in good condition for the rest of this season if we think we can get to a bowl game.
GO PONIES!!!

Thanks for the report, PonyPride! Here's hoping Mitch is ready to go Saturday in Houston.

I appreciate Enright's statement but it will be interesting to see how he feels today after resting the leg for the night. Hopefully he will be ok.
Do not know if you noticed, but Enright was trying to limp off of the field and the coaches kept signaling for him to lay down so they could treat him on the field for a while and let McJunkin warm up. Bo then went behind the bench and took one shotgun snap from McJunkin, and then about 5 snaps from under center. I do not think we have done more than one snap under center this year, and that is what they warmed up doing rather than shotgun snaps on which McJunkin was a little shakey last year. Of course the first snap was almost lost but luckily saved and a touchdown thrown.

After watching the Navy cut block scheme in the first quarter, I was a little worried that we would have more injuries but they did have the D-line wear those steel supports that the O line wears, so hopefully that provided some protection for the guys that may have saved some injures...so far so good.

Love what Mitch does for this young line.
He will be back.... It is his strength to be a quick healer.

Cut block is outlawed in Pee Wee and, I believe, High School ball as well.
Need to get rid of it entirely in college.

The line seems to be smarter and tougher this year. I would have to assume that our man, Mr. Enright, has a lot to do that.
Hope you feel better soon, Mitch.
