Is there a special section for ponyfans? And if so what section? I need to order some tickets for the SMU-Rice game and would prefer to sit with SMU fans. Last year my tickets were in the middle of the TCU section (I hated being with those froggies but they were pretty ok considering the terrible score). I had asked for tickets on the other side of the stadium but they would only sell me seats close to the end zone.

For TCU I called their ticket office and they had a section set up for visitors. If noone beats me to it, I will post tomorrow after the call.

Tell her you live out of the country and are coming in for the Rice game. I bet she can find you some good seats on the west side if you act fast. The west side of Ford is the home side except for the students and band. Bethany is easy to work with and very helpful.

The Rice game is in Dallas. It is homecoming. If he is talking Houston then that is differnet, but he does say Rice in his post.

SMU does sell some season ticket on the east side in the lower 50 yard line area. The seats that are not sold to SMU people are available to the general public including the visitors. So if you bought good east side tickets for a game you could be in the middle of a bunch of the visiting fans. Same is true for basketball. North side is the home side but bunch of season tickets in the lower south side where you could be surrounded by visitor's fans. Bottom line, we need to sell a lot more season tickets to both football and basketball to crowd the visitors out.

I think they switched, where the visiting locker room is, to the south east corner. That would be by section 225. I hear they expect a near sellout Saturday.

I know, but your query got side tracked. I bought my Houston tickets over the phone and they are in one of the 200 sections but I do not recall which one. They are being mailed to me. Call the ticket office in the morning and they can tell you which sections they had tickets for if nobody responds with the exact sections.

My bad- I should have been more precise and said the SMU-TCU game.
This trip I picked the SMU-Rice game because it was a better fit timing wise. Besides that I am anxious to see a good quality win.
